The marathon begins from Everest Base Camp right below the Khumbu Icefall and runs through the Everest Expedition Base Camp crisscrossing village trails to Namche Bazaar covering the distance of 42.195km fulfilling the Olympic Standard. The Marathon runs through the Highest Glaciers and Moraines around the stretch of 10km. This marathon passes through the traditional route to Everest.
