Pisang peak climbing is one of the most popular climbing peaks in Nepal which is done in Annapurna region. First climbed by German expedition in 1955, Pisang Peak (6091m) lies right above Pisang, a village in Manang, Annapurna circuit region. It is a non-expedition peak which rises just opposite to Annapurna II (7937m) and lies roughly between the giants, Annapurna I and Manaslu.
In the beginning, journey to Pisang Peak follows raging Marsyangdi River upstream right near to its source around high scenic Manang valley. The route to Pisang Peak summit is straightforward (though strenous) with few technical challenges and walking on glaciers. After ascending the peak and coming down in a couple of days, this journey will continue along the Annapurna circuit region via Thorang La pass. In addition to the peak climbing, trekking is also something you will enjoy doing through deep down Manang and arriving into the other side, Mustang region.
